Polishing to a Mirror shine will show minor scratches easier to the naked eye than unpolished surfaces. Due the the ultra fine mirror finish, the scratch "jump" out more. You can easily fix these scratches with a white or blue paste or liquid polishing compound.
Tip 1 DO NOT USE YOUR TSHIRT TO WIPE YOUR POLISHED PART!
Tip 2 SEE TIP #1 , READ IT AGAIN.
Tip 3 Use only SUPER SOFT Flannel clothes to wipe and polish your part. Using a Tshirt will scratch your finely polished surface. It would be like taking steel wool to your car's paint job.
Tip 4 Oil your parts on an basis of how humid your environment is. More humid, oil more frequently.
Tip 5 Kydex holsters or rough leather holsters can and will scratch your fine mirror polished surface. Metal to metal contact on parts will scratch your surface. Choose your holster for the smoothest inside surface you can.
Some materials polish and are more scratch resistant than others. Depending on the type of materials used will determine. We have no way of knowing what materials are used in your parts as we are not the manufacturer of the parts.
There is no warranty with polished parts against scratching , rusting/pitting or misuse/abuse/lack of maintenance.
